Florentia Village Chongqing officially opened its 18,000-square-metre Phase Two on September 10. The opening ceremony was attended by Fabio Schina, Consul General of Italy in Chongqing; Wu Chao, Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of Shapingba District Commerce Commission; and Luca Carpinelli, Chief Commercial Officer of Florentia Village and RDM Asia. The new phase is set to bring more than 60 new brands to the Village, including 18 brands exclusive to Chongqing’s outlet market. With a gross floor area of approximately 80,000 square metres and nearly 200 brands overall, the expanded offering further strengthens the Village’s positioning as an Italian-style “micro-vacation” destination for a broad range of consumers.

Phase Two complements the Village’s brands with a broader selection of outdoor sports and contemporary fashion. Its new exclusive brands in Chongqing’s outlet market include HAGLÖFS, OZARK, CAMEL, NORTH LAND and BIEMLOFEN GOLF in outdoor sports, as well as JORYA, MOUSSY, EVISU and ARIOSE YEARS in contemporary menswear and womenswear. Among the new exclusives, HAGLÖFS, JORYA and UNDEFEATED delivered noticeable market performance during the soft-opening period.

The upgrade extends beyond the brand mix to the Village’s physical environment and visitor infrastructure. Phase Two carries forward the Village’s Renaissance-inspired architectural language and features covered verandas that shelter pedestrians. This design, combined with Phase One’s existing 5,800-square-metre eco-friendly canopy, helps create a comfortable all-weather environment across the site.
The opening of Phase Two underscores Italian real estate entity RDM’s long-term confidence in China’s regional markets and its commitment to development shaped by local insight. By integrating culture, commerce, tourism, sports and exhibitions, Florentia Village Chongqing will continue to enrich the “micro-vacation” experience for consumers across Southwest China.
