October 13, 2022, CHINA — Florentia Village announced strong sales performance during the National Day holiday period, representing a strong recovery to near pre-pandemic levels. Total sales revenue at Florentia Village outlets in Shanghai, Chengdu, and Chongqing exceeded 9% compared with the same period in 2021, meanwhile the Shanghai and Chengdu outlets broke their single-day sales records. Florentia Villages in Chongqing and Wuhan also recorded significant increases in visitor numbers compared with the same period last year. Membership to the Florentia Village loyalty program increased to 3.2 million, with members accounting for more than 80% of total spending during the holiday. Overall, tens of thousands of consumers visited Florentia Village outlets over the holiday to enjoy a unique retail-tainment experience filled with authentic Italian style.

Florentia Village Shanghai beats Golden Week 2021 sales, setting new single-day record

Following a difficult first half to the year as a result of Covid-19 lockdowns in the city, Florentia Village Shanghai has enjoyed a rebound in footfall and revenue that have seen its business return normal levels. With the opening of many new brand boutiques and the new 2,000 sqm Family Entertainment Center at the Phase II project in 2021, Florentia Village has further upgraded its offering to provide an integrated retail-tainment destination for families during the long holiday.

Florentia Village Shanghai began Golden Week in extra style with the opening of Loewe, Ports and numerous other fashion brand outlets on the eve of the holiday. Florentia Village Shanghai also offered range of discounts, lucky draw competitions, and food & entertainment coupons to consumers that could be redeemed at various outlets and facilities across the site, including those by brands such as Acne Studios, Celine, Etro, and Fendi — all of whom operate exclusive East China outlets at Florentia Village Shanghai.

Thanks to these new store openings, special offers, and a range of Italian-style celebrations, Florentia Village Shanghai saw increases in both revenue and visitor numbers during the holiday, with overall sales rising by 12% compared with the same period in 2021. On October 2, the Village also broke the single-day sales record previously set during the Spring Festival period in 2021, reporting a 2.7% increase in sales.

Florentia Village outlets in Southwest China continue to shine

Since its arrival in Chengdu and Chongqing, Florentia Village has continued to bring consumers in Southwest China a new upgraded shopping experience defined by exquisite Italian design, an exotic atmosphere, diverse brand choices, large discounts, and exemplary customer services.

First opened in 2021, Florentia Village Chongqing offers hundreds of world-famous brands and is home to more than 20 exclusive regional outlets, including Jimmy Choo, Lukfook, and Karl Lagerfeld. Located in nearby Chengdu, Florentia Village Chengdu also brings together a fine selection of international and domestic boutiques and is home to the exclusive Chengdu outlets of Gucci, Prada, Saint Laurent, Balenciaga, Valentino, and other luxury brands. In early 2019, Florentia Village Chengdu was named a national AAA tourist attraction in recognition of its role in bringing authentic Italian cultural and fashion experiences to consumers in the region. With the arrival of the innovative Family Entertainment Center at both Chengdu and Chongqing Villages, and the opening of the Chengdu Phase II project last year, the two Villages offer a fully upgraded, one-stop shopping experience for families and an ideal travel destination for the holidays.

Florentia Village Chengdu and Chongqing also posted strong performances this Golden Week. Alongside the arrival of a new Armarni outlet, Florentia Village Chongqing recorded a 37% year-on-year increase in revenue and a 22% increase in footfall compared with the same period in 2021. Florentia Village Chengdu broke its previous single-day sales record by 2.7% on October 1, together with the opening of new JNBY and Gant outlets. The launch of The Venetian parade, an Italian engagement performance and the National Day Children's Carnival also helped contribute to the outstanding performance of the two Village during the holiday.

Florentia Villages in Beijing-Tianjin, Wuhan and Guangzhou-Foshan continue to enrich their local brand portfolio and improve the online-offline retail experience

Florentia Village continues to benefit from its strong relationships with renowned fashion brands. Many of these brands have chosen Florentia Village as the location for their exclusive regional or national outlet stores in China. Among these, Florentia Village Beijing-Tianjin is home to exclusive national outlets for Roger Vivier, Bvlgari, and Alexander Wang; Florentia Village Wuhan offers the only Versace and Ferragamo outlets in Hubei province; and Florentia Village Guangzhou-Foshan is home to the exclusive outlets of Prada, Gucci, and Ferragamo in Southern Guangdong province.

In addition to the existing range of renowned brands, Florentia Village continues to enrich its brand portfolio across its outlets to provide consumers with more diverse choices. During the Golden Week holiday, Florentia Village strategically opened more fashion brand outlets in various locations, including the much anticipated Nike experience store in Wuhan, all of which contributed to boosting footfall at the Village by 39% versus the same period in 2021.

As part of Florentia Village’s continuation to improve its omnichannel retail experience, FV’s own branded “Outlet Go” miniprogram has been upgraded for members in Beijing-Tianjin to enjoy an enhanced livestream shopping, membership points hub, a convenient car park payment system, and more.
