Florentia Village and Ctrip Strike Strategic Collaboration

 China's First Shopping Cashback Outlet

Florentia Village and online travel service provider Ctrip have recently announced a strategic collaboration. The two parties will carry out an in-depth collaboration in the fields of data empowerment, joint marketing, and new travel and shopping consumption. Commencing September 10th, 2024 the two parties will jointly launch FV Carnival surprise cashback campaign covering seven Florentia Villages in Beijing-Tianjin, Shanghai, Guangzhou-Foshan, Wuhan, Chengdu, Chongqing and Hong Kong, providing customers with a 2% cashback discount benefit.

As the first retailer in the Greater China region to conduct cross-border marketing cooperation with an online travel platform, Florentia Village has set a new benchmark for cross-industry cooperation by joining hands with Ctrip. In 2024, the Chinese market is still an important territory for global luxury retailers, and Florentia Village, managed by RDM Asia, maintains its leading position in the outlet sector. By 2023, its business landscape covers major cities in China, with a total operating area of more than 500,000 square meters and more than 1,300 shops. In 2023, Florentia Village's total annual revenue has reached 1.9 billion USD, with a cumulative passenger flow of more than 25 million. Florentia Village's massive membership of 5.5 million registered members will bring new customer acquisition and transaction volume to Ctrip. Through strategic cooperation with well-known outlets, Ctrip will further enhance its one-stop consumer service advantages of "eating, living, traveling, shopping, and entertainment".

For consumers, they can enjoy the benefits of both platforms simply through registering for a membership, through which they can obtain cash back and other benefit, and seamlessly switch to use benefits in multiple scenarios such as shopping and travel, and experience a more convenient and more value-for-money  experience.

After consumers in mainland China register for FV Carnival through Ctrip, they can enjoy a cash back of 2% of the actual payment amount if they spend more than 1,000RMB in a single month at any Florentia Village shopping destination (including its online shop) in Beijing-Tianjin, Shanghai, Guangzhou-Foshan, Wuhan, Chengdu, Chongqing etc. The monthly cash back limit for a single person can be valued up to 6,000RMB. Consumers only need to provide their registered mobile phone number to the store staff at checkout to participate in the points registration, ensure that the consumption amount is included in the cashback activity, and the cashback will be automatically returned to their Ctrip wallet account 2-3 months after consumption. Members can freely choose to withdraw the cashback amount to their bank account, or directly purchase air tickets, hotels, travel and other products on Ctrip platform to enjoy benefits. It is worth mentioning that old members of Florentia Village can also complete a simple registration through Ctrip without reapplying for a membership card.

For consumers in Hong Kong, they can receive exclusive coupon codes through Ctrip. If their consumption accumulates to more than $1,000 HKD in a single day, they can also receive a cash back of 2% of the actual payment amount, and the monthly cashback limit for a single person is $6,000 HKD. Consumers go the guest service center in Florentia Village Hong Kong on the day of their shopping trip, present the coupon code, receipt and payment voucher to complete registration, and cashback will be returned to their Ctrip wallet after 2-3 months. The cashback amount will be deposited in RMB and can be withdrawn to a mainland bank card or may be directly used on the Ctrip.

Following the continuous advancement and deepening of consumption methods, China is ushering in a new opportunity period for the integration of online and offline development. The industry expects that cross-border pioneers represented by Florentia Village and Ctrip will continue to innovate digital gameplay, bring consumers a smarter, more convenient and better full-scene experience, and lead the construction of a new "tourism + consumption" ecosystem.
